Getting ready for the root canals
n one or two visits, endodontic or "root canal" therapy is frequently completed. The area is properly numbed in the beginning so that you experience zero pain. To keep the region tidy and dry, a dental dam, a little sheet of protection, is placed over the teeth. The infected pulp will then be removed from your tooth by making a small incision in the crown of your tooth.
Complete root canal filling
The root canals are filled with a rubber-like substance called "gutta-percha" to guarantee that they are entirely sealed once the area has been cleansed and shaped. The opening in your tooth will subsequently, in the majority of cases, be sealed off with a temporary filling. After your tooth has been repaired, we'll ask you to schedule a follow-up consultation so we can make sure everything is functioning properly. After receiving treatment from us, you must go back to your regular dentist to have the temporary filling replaced and the tooth restored, which will further fortify and seal it against harmful microorganisms. Your dentist may insert a post within the tooth before the tooth is built up with a strong core if the tooth is insufficiently structural to keep the restoration in place.

I don't normally leave reviews but wanted to say thanks so much to Dr Laura for her great work this weekend. I'm quite a nervous patient but she had me completely at ease for my treatment this morning. Also highly recommend for children - her and the nurses were fantastic with my son and his teddy Justin Beaver!
